A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

A note on fractional integral operators on Herz spaces with variable exponent

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
In this note, we prove that the fractional integral operators from Herz spaces with variable exponent K ˙ p ( ⋅ ) , q α $\dot{K}^{\alpha}_{p(\cdot), q}$ to Lipschitz-type spaces are bounded provided p ( ⋅ ) $p(\cdot)$ is locally log-Hölder continuous and

Certain results for a class of nonlinear functional spaces

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2020
In this article, we study properties of a class of functional spaces, so-called pn-spaces, which arise from investigation of nonlinear differential equations.

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Hölder Quasicontinuity in Variable Exponent Sobolev Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2007
We show that a function in the variable exponent Sobolev spaces coincides with a Hölder continuous Sobolev function outside a small exceptional set.

The Classical Integral Operators in Weighted Lorentz Spaces with Variable Exponent. [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper the Lorentz spaces with variable exponent are introduced. These Banach function spaces are defined on the base of variable Lebesgue spaces. Boundedness of classical integral operators are proved in variable Lorentz spaces.

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Fréchet Envelopes of Nonlocally Convex Variable Exponent Hörmander Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2016
We show that the dual Bp·locΩ′ of the variable exponent Hörmander space Bp(·)loc(Ω) is isomorphic to the Hörmander space B∞c(Ω) (when the exponent p(·) satisfies the conditions ...

Phenomenological and Physically Based Modeling of Flow Stress and Strengthening Mechanism of Inconel 718

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Nickel‐based alloys are widely used in high‐temperature applications due to their excellent mechanical strength and oxidation resistance. However, properties such as high‐temperature strength and pronounced work‐hardening make them difficult to machine.

Multifunctional Crushing and Piezoresistive Self‐Sensing in Conductive Epoxy/CNT‐Coated Polyetherimide TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports lightweight polyetherimide triply periodic minimal surfaces lattices coated with carbon nanotube‐reinforced epoxy that combine mechanical robustness with self‐sensing. The conformal coating enhances stiffness, strength and energy absorption while enabling reliable strain monitoring.
