A variable-exponent taper equation
Canadian Journal of Forest Research, 1988A different approach to fitting taper equations has been developed, which eliminates the necessity of using several functions to predict diameter inside bark at different parts of the stem. The variable form taper function is easy to develop and saves computing time.

We introduce a new type of variable exponent function spaces Ḣp(·),q(·),α(·)(\({\mathbb{R}^n}\)) and Hp(·),q(·),α(·)(\({\mathbb{R}^n}\)) of Herz type, homogeneous and non-homogeneous versions, where all the three parameters are variable, and give comparison of continual and discrete approaches to their definition.

Variable Exponent Lebesgue Spaces
2011In this chapter we define Lebesgue spaces with variable exponents, \(L^{p(.)}\). They differ from classical \(L^p\) spaces in that the exponent p is not constant but a function from Ω to \([1,\infty]\). The spaces \(L^{p(.)}\) fit into the framework of Musielak–Orlicz spaces and are therefore also semimodular spaces.

In this paper, we consider a class of fractional Laplacian problems of the form: where is a bounded domain and is the fractional -Laplacian. We assume that λ is a nonnegative parameter and is a continuous function.

Sublinear operators on weighted Hardy spaces with variable exponents
Forum mathematicum, 2019We establish the mapping properties for some sublinear operators on weighted Hardy spaces with variable exponents by using extrapolation. In particular, we study the Calderón–Zygmund operators, the maximal Bochner–Riesz means, the intrinsic square ...
