Abstract Children's relationship with time in preschools is an under‐researched area. Young children rarely know how to measure time using a clock, but their experiences of time may contribute to understanding children's well‐being and debates about quality in preschools.

Trajectories of Physical Function in Canadian Children with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Objectives We describe trajectories of physical function in children newly diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and identify trajectories with persisting functional impairments and associated baseline characteristics. Methods We included patients enrolled in the Canadian Alliance of Pediatric Rheumatology Investigators (CAPRI) Registry ...

A State Space Modeling Method for Aero-Engine Based on AFOS-ELM
State space models (SSMs) are important for multi-variable performance analysis and controller design of aero-engines. In order to solve the problems of the traditional state space modeling methods that rely on component-level models (CLMs) and cannot be

Variable forgetting factor nonlinear RLS algorithmin correlated mixture noise
A new nonlinear RLS adaptive algorithm with a variable forgetting factor is introduced. The autocorrelations of nonzero lags, which is insensitive to additive noise, is used to control the forgetting factor of the nonlinear RLS. This scheme provides an algorithm with good tracking capability and small model error in correlated impulsive noise.

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...
