Robust autoresonant excitation in the plasma beat-wave accelerator: a theoretical study

open access: yes, 2004
A modified version of the Plasma Beat-Wave Accelerator scheme is introduced and analyzed, which is based on autoresonant phase-locking of the nonlinear Langmuir wave to the slowly chirped beat frequency of the driving lasers via adiabatic passage through

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Iterative learning control for variable frequency drives

open access: yes2008 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2008
Variable frequency drives (VFD) are subject to various types of disturbances especially cyclical ones. These periodic disturbances are difficult to compensate by conventional controllers. Repetitive control can only compensate for constant frequency fluctuations. PWM inverter based VFDs are subject to periodic disturbances with variable frequency.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

SIMULATION OF A HIGH-POWERED VARIABLE FREQUENCY AC DRIVE BASED ON A MULTIPULSE CURRENT SOURCE INVERTER

open access: yesElectrical engineering & Electromechanics, 2013
A computer model building technique for an AC drive system with an autonomous 24-pulse current inverter is introduced. On the basis of the technique developed, a MATLAB variable-frequency drive model capable of working in both quasi-stationary and ...

Contribution of DFIG wind turbines to Primary Frequency Control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In recent years, worldwide power systems are experiencing a steadily growth in wind power penetration. A common concern in the operation of such systems is related to the frequency stability. Modern variable speed wind turbines have a limited capacity in

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

SIMULATION OF AN AC DRIVE SYSTEM COMPRISING A CASCADE MULTILEVEL VOLTAGE INVERTER

open access: yesElectrical engineering & Electromechanics, 2013
A technique for computer modeling of an AC drive system with a cascade multilevel voltage inverter is introduced. With the technique application, a Matlab-model of a variable-frequency electric drive functioning both in a quasi-stationary and in a ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
