Linguistic Variables of Type-N. A Mathematical Model
- Abstract: This work proposes a generalization for the notions of Linguistic Variables and Fuzzification Process. The idea is to provide a concept of fuzzy systems in which the linguistic terms of a linguistic variable are not necessarily connected with fuzzy sets of the same type. Those systems are called here Systems of Type-n.

A methodology for establishing an ontology‐augmented structural digital twin for fiber‐reinforced polymer structures dedicated to individual lifetime prediction, in this case, a wind turbine rotor blade, is introduced. The methodology resembles the manufacturing as well as the operation of the structure.

On the two-variable Dirichlet q-L-series [PDF]
In this study, we construct the two-variable multiple Dirichlet q-L-function and two-variable multiple Dirichlet type Changhee q-L-function. These functions interpolate the q-Bernoulli polynomials and generalized Changhee q-Bernoulli polynomials. By using the Mellin transformation, we give an integral representation for the two-variable multiple ...

A Novel Simulation Approach for Damage Evolution during Tailored Forming
Traditional damage models are struggling to accurately and efficiently simulate large‐scale three‐dimensional models with a great number of degrees of freedoms. A new gradient‐enhanced damage model based on the extended Hamilton principle can significantly reduce the computation time while ensuring mesh‐independence which is suitable to use in tailored

Construction of Benford Random Variables: Generators and Seed Functions [PDF]
In this paper I describe two general methods of constructing a probability density function (pdf) of a Benford random variable, and show that the pdf of every Benford random variable may be constructed by these methods. These constructions are helpful in exploring the nature of Benford random variables, and may be used to investigate some issues of ...

A novel metadata schema is introduced to address the sparsity of microstructure‐sensitive mechanical data. The design follows the material modeling workflow, as each run results in the definition of unique data objects. The schema includes categorical elements to ensure findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability (FAIR). This approach

Primary teachers’ affect: a crucial variable in the teaching of mathematics
Mathematics education is strongly interested in defining ”what is necessary for teaching mathematics effectively”. The main directions of research emphasize the cognitive side of the answer to this question, trying to describe what kind of knowledge is needed in order to teach mathematics effectively. Starting from the point that teachers’ affect

Bioinspired Design of Isotropic Lattices with Tunable and Controllable Anisotropy
This study introduces nested isotropic lattices, integrating architectural elements like nesting orders and orientations inspired by bioarchitectures. The design enables tunable anisotropy across nine mono‐nest and twenty multi‐nest lattices with 252 parametric variations, demonstrating transitions from shear‐ to tensile‐compression‐dominant behaviors ...
