The 3D‐printed MFCs in paddies during rice cultivation generated a maximum power density of 26 µW/m2 within 3 days via a series–parallel configuration and theoretically reduced methane by 0.012–0.016 kg for 1 m2 of land use through an LCA based on existing methane reduction data in rice paddies.

Status of Variable-Rate Irrigation in the Southeast
2006 Portland, Oregon, July 9-12, 2006, 2006Variable rate irrigation (VRI) technology works by applying irrigation water based on specific water needs of individual management zones, rather than applying a uniform rate across an entire field. By optimizing water application, the use of VRI can potentially save millions of gallons of irrigation water while increasing both crop yield and ...

Investigating irrigation scheduling for rice using variable rate irrigation
Agricultural Water Management, 2017Abstract Because almost all US rice is produced with continuous flood irrigation, little information addresses irrigation scheduling for rice; however, successful production without a continuous flood will require timely irrigation. A field study conducted at the University of Missouri Fisher Delta Research Center Marsh Farm during the 2013 and 2014 ...
