Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Observational Properties of β Cephei Stars: 88 New Samples Discovered Based on TESS and Gaia Data
We present a systematic investigation of β Cephei (BCEP) stars by integrating photometric data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) with astrometric parameters from Gaia Data Release 3.

Variable stars across the observational hr diagramm
An overview of pulsating variable stars across the observational Hertzprung-Russel (HR) diagram is presented, together with a summary of their global properties. The HR diagram is presented with a third colour-coded dimension, visualizing the fraction of

The variability of the Be stars
Using the photometric and Be-star catalogues existing at La Plata, the photometric behavior of a sample of 140 Be stars has been studied over an average time interval of eleven years. As compared with a control sample of 100 normal B stars, about 50 % of the Be stars show variations in V and about 30 %, in B-V and U-B. These results confirm Feinstein’s

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Evolution of Variable Stars [PDF]
Throughout the domain of the H R diagram lie groupings of stars whose luminosity varies with time. These variable stars can be classified based on their observed properties into distinct types such as ..beta.. Cephei stars, delta Cephei stars, and Miras,

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Review on Photometric Study of Variable Stars
This literature review focuses on variable stars, which exhibit changes in brightness over time. This topic is vital in astronomical research, particularly due to the abundance of telescope data available in archives.
