Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

Defect Analysis of a Non-Iterative Co-Simulation

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
This article presents an analysis of co-simulation defects for a system of coupled ordinary differential equations. The research builds on the theorem that the co-simulation error is bounded if the co-simulation defect is bounded.

Venous Thromboembolism in Pediatric Bone Sarcoma Patients: A 10‐Year, Single‐Institution Experience Encompassing the COVID‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing

Variable step-size sign algorithm against impulsive noises

open access: yes, 2018
This paper proposes a new variable step-size sign algorithm through the minimisation of mean-square deviation (MSD). As it is difficult to obtain the MSD accurately, the upper bound of the MSD is derived for calculating the step size at each iteration ...

Modified Variable Step Size FLOM-CMA Based on Lorentzian Function under Impulse Noise

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Aiming at the problem that the traditional equalization algorithm under impulse noise is difficult to suppress impulse noise and achieve equalization, a new modified variable step size FLOM-CMA algorithm based on Lorentzian function is proposed in this ...

Serological Benefit of SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccination Relative to Infection in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Variable Step Size LMS Adaptive Filters with Delayed Coefficient Updating

open access: yes, 1996
A new approach to delayed LMS adaptive filtering is presented, which uses a variable step size for coefficient updating to increase convergence speed and improve tracking characteristics.

A chaos wolf optimization algorithm with self-adaptive variable step-size

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
To explore the problem of parameter optimization for complex nonlinear function, a chaos wolf optimization algorithm (CWOA) with self-adaptive variable step-size was proposed.

A variable step-size implementation of a new one-step block method for integrating Burgers' model equation

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2023
This article proposes a variable stepsize implementation of an improved one-step block method (OBM) that uses two intermediate points to solve Burgers' equation.

Deep Sequencing of FLT3‐ITD Enables Response Evaluation and Post‐Treatment Monitoring in Childhood AML: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...
