Entropy optimized radiative flow conveying hybrid nanomaterials (MgO-MoS2/C2H6O2) with melting heat characteristics and Cattaneo-Christov theory: OHAM analysis

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal
Here flow for radiative hybrid-nanomaterial (MgO+MoS2) satisfying Darcy-Forchheimer relation is addressed. Ethylene glycol C2H6O2 is utilized as a base fluid. Magnesium oxide (MgO) and Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) are considered as distinct nanoparticles.

Sustainable Synthesis of Bio‐Based Magnetic and Conductive Wood for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A wood‐based magnetic and conductive material called Magwood (MW), capable of blocking almost 99.99% of electromagnetic waves (in the X‐band frequency range), is synthesized using a simple, solvent‐free process. MW is lightweight, resists water, and is flame‐retardant, making it a promising alternative for shielding electronics. The rapid proliferation

Thermoelectric Modules Incorporating MgAgSb and Mg3(Sb,Bi)2 Synthesized Using a Melting Method

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable synthesis method for a thermoelectric material of MgAgSb is established. A thermoelectric power module of MgAgSb/Mg3(Sb,Bi)2 is fabricated, showing the conversion efficiency of 7.4% at ΔT = 315 K. The performance is comparable to conventional Bi2Te3 modules when they are operated with an air‐cooled heat exchanger.

Fractional Heat Conduction with Variable Thermal Conductivity of Infinite Annular Cylinder Under Thermoelasticity Theorem of Moore–Gibson–Thompson

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
To discuss the fractional order heat conduction based on Youssef’s model, a new mathematical model of a thermoelastic annular cylinder with variable thermal conductivity will be constructed in this work.

Four‐Point Bending Tests at High Temperatures on Commercial MgO‐C Refractory Bricks with and Without Recyclate Considering Different Carbon Contents

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

Spectral efficiency of engineered thermal cloaks in the frequency regime

open access: yes, 2014
We analyse basic thermal cloaks designed via different geometric transforms applied to thermal cloaking. We evaluate quantitatively the efficiency of these heterogeneous anisotropic thermal cloaks through the calculation of the standard deviation of the ...
