“Not just right” experiences account for unique variance in eating pathology
Eating Disorders, 2018"Not just right" experiences (NJREs) are uncomfortable sensations of incompleteness linked to obsessive-compulsive disorder; however, NJREs may be transdiagnostic and play a role in eating pathology. Learning manufacturing variance analysis in accounting—Computer assisted
Computers & Education, 1987Abstract The advantage of separating course material into the following three components is explored: (1) syntactical, (2) semantical, and (3) pragmatic. The concept is illustrated with LOTUS macros for the syntactical and semantical components involved in teaching manufacturing variance analysis in accounting; the pragmatic aspect is left to ...

Scale Development by Taking into Account Common Method Variance
Academy of Management Proceedings, 2014In the present study, an updated procedure for scale development by taking into account common method variance at the item level is proposed, focusing on scale reduction. The CFA marker technique can detect if CMV exists and identify the items contaminated by CMV.

Frequency, Power, and Accounting for All of the Variance
1990There are several ways for an observer, scientist, or other individual to control behavior. The one route, emphasized by Lewin (1931) under the rubric of Galilean thinking, is to investigate or examine the multiplicity of perspectives offered by the individual being studied, drawing on information about perceptions, motives, needs, chronic orientations,

Cerebellar brain volume accounts for variance in cognitive performance in older adults
Cortex, 2011Frontal lobe atrophy is implicated in patterns of age-related cognitive decline. However, other brain areas, including the cerebellum, support the work of the frontal lobes and are also sensitive to the effects of ageing. A relationship between cerebellar brain volume and cognitive function in older adults is reported, but no study has separated ...

Accounting Streams Unit 19: The variance vault
The Variance Vault is an interactive activity that enables accounting students to apply and practise variance analysis. Structured as a virtual escape room, the game requires students to unlock four sequential chambers, each focusing on a different category of variance: materials, labour, overhead, and sales. The case complements Unit 19 of Principlesopenaire +1 more source
The Partitioning of Criterion Score Variance Accounted for in Multiple Correlation
American Educational Research Journal, 1968In the age of the electronic computer, multiple correlation and multiple regression procedures have become commonplace. Many problems are now being solved using multiple correlation and regression techniques which would never have been attempted had computers not been available.
