Factors Effective on the Success of Husbandry Cooperatives A Case Study of Eastern Azarbaijan Province [PDF]
Husbandry Cooperatives have a great role in the rural development of the nation and are recognized as one of the important means for accelerating it. The current study aims at surveying factors effective in the success of these cooperatives in 1390.

Growth Intention and Growth in Small Accounting Firms
Previous research has found that owner/manager growth intention is related to subsequent firm growth, but growth intention alone only explains about 4−5% of the variance in actual firm growth.

Closed-form variance estimators for weighted and stratified dose-response function estimators using generalized propensity score [PDF]
Propensity score methods are widely used in observational studies for evaluating marginal treatment effects. The generalized propensity score (GPS) is an extension of the propensity score framework, historically developed in the case of binary exposures, for use with quantitative or continuous exposures.

This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Testing for breaks in variance structures with smooth changes [PDF]
The problem of detecting variance breaks in the case of smooth time-varying variance structure is studied. It is highlighted that the tests based on (piecewise) constant specification of the variance are not able to distinguish between smooth non constant variance and the case where an abrupt change is present.

This study simultaneously investigated circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients. The elevated expression of JUNB and CXCR4 in CTCs was a poor prognostic factor for SCLC patients, whereas exosomal overexpression of these biomarkers revealed a high discrimination ability of patients from healthy individuals,

Background The data from longitudinal complex surveys based on multi-stage sampling designs contain cross-sectional dependencies among units due to clustered nature of the data and within-subject dependencies due to repeated measurements.

Do Executive Function and Impulsivity Predict Adolescent Health Behaviour after Accounting for Intelligence? Findings from the ALSPAC Cohort. [PDF]
Executive function, impulsivity, and intelligence are correlated markers of cognitive resource that predict health-related behaviours. It is unknown whether executive function and impulsivity are unique predictors of these behaviours after accounting for

On the Effect of Imputation on the 2SLS Variance [PDF]
Endogeneity and missing data are common issues in empirical research. We investigate how both jointly affect inference on causal parameters. Conventional methods to estimate the variance, which treat the imputed data as if it was observed in the first place, are not reliable.

Statistics of spatial averages and optimal averaging in the presence of missing data [PDF]
We consider statistics of spatial averages estimated by weighting observations over an arbitrary spatial domain using identical and independent measuring devices, and derive an account of bias and variance in the presence of missing observations. We test the model relative to simulations, and the approximations for bias and variance with missing data ...
