One-way analysis of variance with unequal variances. [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1989
We have designed a statistical test that eliminates the assumption of equal group variances from one-way analysis of variance. This test is preferable to the standard technique of trial-and-error transformation and can be shown to be an extension of the Behrens-Fisher T test to the case of three or more means.

On The Use of Analysis of Variance under Unequal group variances

open access: yesEast Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Research, 2023
In this study, we imposed Analysis of variances test (ANOVA) which use when we have more than two treatments or different levels of a single factors that we wish to compare then we assume homogeneity of variances across the groups being compared although most of the earlier works that have addressed the problem of testing equality of mean variance ...

Health‐Related Social Needs in Children With Sickle Cell Disease Are Associated With Worse Health‐Related Quality of Life

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with sickle cell disease (SCD) face multiple acute and chronic medical complications that may impact their quality of life as reported by patients themselves. Health‐related social needs (HRSNs), such as food and housing insecurity, are common in people with SCD, but the association between HRSNs and patient‐reported ...

Research on geometrical parameters effect of fan nozzle jet performance based on orthogonal experiment

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2018
In order to determine the significance and importance order of the jet performance caused by fan nozzle's geometric parameters of aero-engine online cleaning equipment, the orthogonal experiment method, standard k–ɛ turbulence model and volume of fluid ...

Nominal analysis of “variance” [PDF]

open access: yesBehavior Research Methods, 2009
Nominal responses are the natural way for people to report actions or opinions. Because nominal responses do not generate numerical data, they have been underutilized in behavioral research. On those occasions in which nominal responses are elicited, the responses are customarily aggregated over people or trials so that large-sample statistics can be ...

Cup‐Like Nuclei Is a Hallmark of DUX4/ERG Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Reveals Cytoplasmic Mitochondria Accumulation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cup‐like nuclei are a distinctive morphological feature observed in certain cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We provide evidence that they characterize DUX4/ERG ALL independently of IKZF1 deletion and reveal marked mitochondrial accumulation in this ALL subset.

The Process Optimization Analysis of CBN Abrasive Cu-Sn-Ti Coating Fabrication via the Ultrasonic-Vibration-Assisted Laser Cladding Method

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Ultra-precision machining has higher requirements for the performance of abrasive tools, but the traditional grinding wheel has some problems such as irregular grain arrangement, limited chip space, and high grinding temperature.

Warped functional analysis of variance [PDF]

open access: yesBiometrics, 2014
SummaryThis article presents an Analysis of Variance model for functional data that explicitly incorporates phase variability through a time‐warping component, allowing for a unified approach to estimation and inference in presence of amplitude and time variability.
