Conceptualizing discrimination against LGBTQ+ workers in the unbounded workplace

open access: yesCanadian Geographer / Le géographe canadien, Volume 69, Issue 1, Spring / printemps 2025.
Abstract The workplace is a key space where LGBTQ+ people face discrimination leading to mental health distress. This paper shows how spatial attributes of work shape experiences and perceptions of discrimination and mental health distress. Building on minority stress theory, we demonstrate how spatial attributes of work can cause, amplify, or mitigate

open access: yes, 2020
Stemming from a critical reflexion on the concept of disenfranchised grief (DG), this article examines the way (non) acknowledgement unfolds in the context of perinatal death/grief, along spatial and temporal lines. It was shown that acknowledgment tends to decrease as we move along the temporal axis (i.e.

Pollinator functional group abundance and floral heterogeneity in an agroecological context affect mating patterns in a self‐incompatible wild plant

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, Volume 111, Issue 12, December 2024.
Using a farm‐scale experiment, we investigated how the mating outcomes (expected heterozygosity and paternity correlation) of Cyanus segetum in agroecological infrastructures (herbaceous field margins) are affected by the interplay between pollinator functional group abundance and, respectively, the relative maternal plant attractiveness and the local ...

Diversity, habitat and activity patterns of mesocarnivore assemblages in an Afrotropical protected forest savannah mosaic of Central Cameroon

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Ecology, Volume 62, Issue 3, September 2024.
Abstract Little is known about the diversity and ecology of mesocarnivores in the Mpem and Djim National Parks in central Cameroon. Therefore, we undertook a rapid assessment using camera traps from September 2021 to December 2021. The main objective of our study was to collect data on the diversity, abundance and relative frequency of mesocarnivores ...

Community‐science reveals delayed fall migration of waterfowl and spatiotemporal effects of a changing climate

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, Volume 93, Issue 4, Page 377-392, April 2024.
Using 43 years of community‐science data, the authors found significant changes in the fall migration phenology for 12/15 waterfowl species, with most species shifting migration later in the season. When and where climate was correlated with phenological shifts differed among species, highlighting the importance of scale in climate research.

Crop phenology reshapes the food‐safety landscape for roe deer in an agroecosystem

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 61, Issue 3, Page 564-574, March 2024.
Our work highlights the importance of behavioural plasticity and habitat complementation in the persistence of this synanthropic species in agroecosystems. This behavioural adjustment may buffer the consequences of the reduction in natural habitats that accompanies intensification of agricultural production and has implications for understanding how ...

open access: yesCanadian Geographer / Le géographe canadien, Volume 68, Issue 1, Page 72-87, Spring / printemps 2024.
