Pollinator functional group abundance and floral heterogeneity in an agroecological context affect mating patterns in a self‐incompatible wild plant

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, Volume 111, Issue 12, December 2024.
Using a farm‐scale experiment, we investigated how the mating outcomes (expected heterozygosity and paternity correlation) of Cyanus segetum in agroecological infrastructures (herbaceous field margins) are affected by the interplay between pollinator functional group abundance and, respectively, the relative maternal plant attractiveness and the local ...

Composition et variations spatio-temporelles du régime alimentaire de Trachurus trachurus (Carangidae) de la côte atlantique marocaine

open access: yes, 2015
A study of the diet of the Atlantic horse mackerel Trachurus trachurus (Linnaeus, 1758) was carried out on the Atlantic coast of Southern Morocco, located from Cap Boujdour to Cap Blanc (26 degrees 30'N-21 degrees N latitude). This area is characterized by a permanent upwelling and is among the highly productive ecosystems of the worldwide ocean.

Diversity, habitat and activity patterns of mesocarnivore assemblages in an Afrotropical protected forest savannah mosaic of Central Cameroon

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Ecology, Volume 62, Issue 3, September 2024.
Abstract Little is known about the diversity and ecology of mesocarnivores in the Mpem and Djim National Parks in central Cameroon. Therefore, we undertook a rapid assessment using camera traps from September 2021 to December 2021. The main objective of our study was to collect data on the diversity, abundance and relative frequency of mesocarnivores ...

Community‐science reveals delayed fall migration of waterfowl and spatiotemporal effects of a changing climate

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, Volume 93, Issue 4, Page 377-392, April 2024.
Using 43 years of community‐science data, the authors found significant changes in the fall migration phenology for 12/15 waterfowl species, with most species shifting migration later in the season. When and where climate was correlated with phenological shifts differed among species, highlighting the importance of scale in climate research.

Estimation of Sounding Uncertainty from Measurements of Water Mass Variability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Analysis techniques are introduced that allow for estimation of potential sounding uncertainty due to water mass variability from reconnaissance campaigns in which oceanographic parameters are measured at a high temporal and spatial resolution.

Production primaire d'une lagune tropicale à forte influence continentale : la lagune Aby (Côte d'Ivoire) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Ce travail décrit les variations de la production primaire en liaison avec les phénomènes hydroclimatologiques de la lagune Aby. Minimale en saison de pluies et de crues, la salinité atteint le maximum en saison sèche.
