Toward Knowledge‐Guided AI for Inverse Design in Manufacturing: A Perspective on Domain, Physics, and Human–AI Synergy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights how knowledge‐guided artificial intelligence can address key challenges in manufacturing inverse design, including high‐dimensional search spaces, limited data, and process constraints. It focused on three complementary pillars—expert‐guided problem definition, physics‐informed machine learning, and large language model ...

RAMS: Residual‐Based Adversarial‐Gradient Moving Sample Method for Scientific Machine Learning in Solving Partial Differential Equations

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We propose a residual‐based adversarial‐gradient moving sample (RAMS) method for scientific machine learning that treats samples as trainable variables and updates them to maximize the physics residual, thereby effectively concentrating samples in inadequately learned regions.

Bioconvection Darcy–Forchheimer Flow of Ree‐Eyring Nanofluid Over a Riga Plate With Arrhenius Activation Energy and Viscous Dissipation

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This work examines the intricate interactions of heat radiation, viscous dissipation, the Cattaneo–Christov thermal model, gyrotactic microorganisms, Arrhenius activation energy, and Darcy–Forchheimer flow affecting Ree‐Eyring nanofluid behavior across a Riga plate.

Reduced Differential Transform Method for (2+1) Dimensional type of the Zakharov-Kuznetsov ZK(n,n) Equations

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, reduced differential transform method (RDTM) is employed to approximate the solutions of (2+1) dimensional type of the Zakharov-Kuznetsov partial differential equations. We apply these method to two examples.

Bioconvective Chemically Reactive Radiative Squeezing Flow of a Casson Hybrid Nanofluid Between Two Parallel Plates Under Variable Viscosity

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hybrid nanofluids, known for their superior thermal and electrical conductivity, have demonstrated remarkable potential in enhancing the heat transfer capability of conventional base fluids. This study analyzes the effects of viscous dissipation and heat radiation on two‐dimensional unsteady incompressible squeezing flow transporting hybrid ...

Two‐Phase Nanofluid Flow in a Non‐Newtonian Model Past a Deformable Sheet With Magnetized Environmental Effects: Statistical Modeling and ANOVA Analysis

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a comprehensive numerical analysis of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Casson nanofluid movement over a permeable, linearly stretching sheet, integrating the contributions of non‐uniform heat generation or absorption and chemical interaction.

Parameter optimization in differential geometry based solvation models

open access: yes, 2015
Differential geometry (DG) based solvation models are a new class of variational implicit solvent approaches that are able to avoid unphysical solvent-solute boundary definitions and associated geometric singularities, and dynamically couple polar and ...

Thermal Conductance and Mass Transport of Brinkman‐Type Nanofluids Across Porous Plates: A Prabhakar‐Fractional Approach

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The paper establishes an advanced computing algorithm to investigate the thermosolutal dynamics of an electrically conductive Brinkman‐type nanofluid that moves in a porous channel, and the fluid is acted on by an inclined magnetic field exerted externally.

Advanced control of non‐isothermal axial dispersion tubular reactors with recycle‐induced state delay

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract We develop a delay‐aware estimation and control framework for a non‐isothermal axial dispersion tubular reactor modelled as a coupled parabolic‐hyperbolic PDE system with recycle‐induced state delay. The infinite‐dimensional dynamics are preserved without spatial discretization by representing the delay as a transport PDE and adopting a late ...

About least-squares type approach to address direct and controllability problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
- We discuss the approximation of distributed null controls for partial differential equations. The main purpose is to determine an approximation of controls that drives the solution from a prescribed initial state at the initial time to the zero target ...
