Presentation of fused vas deferens
Urology, 2006Transverse testicular ectopia is a rare condition that usually presents as a unilateral nonpalpable testis and a contralateral descended testis with an associated hernia. Currently, with the use of diagnostic laparoscopy, transverse testicular ectopia is found before groin exploration. We reviewed 2 cases that were referred to our institution.

While performing a recent vasectomy, I identified the right vas and ligated it normally.

CALCIFICATION OF THE VAS DEFERENS IN DIABETES
Journal of the American Medical Association, 1960The main aim in this study was to determine the incidence of radiographically demonstrable calcification of the vas deferens (CVD) in adult diabetics. The second purpose was to relate the CVD to the severity and duration of the diabetes and to associated vascular calcification. Of 100 male diabetics, 11 had CVD.

On the Transportation of Spermatozoa in the Vas Deferens
Andrologia, 2009In this report the intraluminal pressure of the vas deferens was measured in vivo in male cross-bred dogs. The measurement of the pressure elucidated that the vas deferens repeated autonomic contraction. This contraction was not the so-called peristalsis but the entire portion of the vas deferens contracted simultaneously.

Cutaneous Fistulas to the Vas Deferens
Journal of Urology, 1992Cutaneous fistulas to the vas deferens are a rare occurrence. A careful review of the literature revealed only 16 cases reported within the last 70 years. We present a case of such a fistula occurring after inguinal orchiectomy for suppurative epididymo-orchitis and review the etiologies of all reported cases to provide recommendations for management.
