Motivations for and experience with labor induction at 39 weeks in women with obesity—A qualitative study

When deciding to participate in the randomized study of IOL at 39 gestational weeks or expectant management, physical discomfort and a desire to “control” the onset of labor was prominent motivations for the 25 interviewed women, who were all randomized to IOL in the intervention arm.
