Effects of IGFBP4 deficiency on human preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation through the IGF1R/AKT pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

The Lord of Ring: Neonatal Collapse Consequent to Ductal Aneurysm Complicating Double Aortic Arch

open access: yesJournal of the Indian Academy of Echocardiography & Cardiovascular Imaging
A term, nondysmorphic female neonate, delivered normally after an uneventful pregnancy, developed severe biphasic stridor from the first cry. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) within 30 min of life showed concordant cardiac connections and suprasternal ...

Congenital partial absence of the pericardium presenting with a rare concurrent abnormality of vascular ring diagnosed by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Biomedical Research, 2016
Congenital absence of the pericardium is a rare abnormality that can be diagnosed by cardiac imaging procedures. A 49-year-old male needed medical attention due to the appearance of palpitation with a systolic murmur, and a notable aortic arch deviation ...

Risk Prediction Models for Recurrence After Curative Treatment of Early‐Stage or Locally Advanced Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

Spinal Cord Infarction Versus Idiopathic Transverse Myelitis: Clinical, Radiological, and Functional Insights From a Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Spinal cord infarction (SCI) is a rare but devastating myelopathy, characterized by a high disability rate and an unfavorable prognosis. It has often been underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed as idiopathic transverse myelitis (ITM). This study aimed to describe the clinical features, radiological biomarkers, treatments, and functional ...
