The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the changes that occurred in the Catholic liturgy either by the council fathers or by over-zealous liturgists who ignored the decree of Vatican II and chose to interpret the Vatican’s directives in their own way. I will examine the various parts of the mass before and after Vatican II.
