Metrics Vault development methodology for Data Vault.

open access: yes
This thesis proposes a Metric Vault development methodology for Data Vault 2.0 data warehouses. Currently, Data Vault 2.0 data warehouses do not collect computer resource metrics, however, this information is very relevant when trying to solve data ...

Stepping Stones or Stumbling Blocks? Domestic Mergers and Cross‐Border Consolidation

open access: yesEconomic Notes, Volume 55, Issue 2, July 2026.
ABSTRACT We build on empirical evidence showing that international acquisitions exhibit path dependence and often unfold as sequences of deals, and argue that domestic and cross‐border mergers are not necessarily isolated events. Specifically, we ask whether blocking a domestic merger that reduces consumer surplus in the short run could inadvertently ...

The use of exercise testing to assess training efficacy in sport horses

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Education, Volume 38, Issue 7, Page 382-396, July 2026.
Summary Training programmes for horses must be tailored to the physiological demands of each Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) discipline to optimise performance and welfare. Standardised exercise tests (SETs) have emerged as essential tools for evaluating equine fitness by measuring physiological responses to controlled workloads.

Upscaling the Strength Domain of Heterogeneous Cohesive‐Frictional Materials via a General FFT‐Based Limit Analysis Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 12, 30 June 2026.
ABSTRACT Limit analysis and yield design provide a well‐defined mathematical framework for upscaling the strength properties of heterogeneous materials. These techniques can be incorporated into an FFT‐based computational micromechanics framework to evaluate the strength of heterogeneous materials, based on images of their microstructure.

Synergistic Pyro‐Phototronics and Structural Anisotropy in CsAg2I3/GaN Heterostructures for High‐Performance Polarization‐Sensitive UV Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 31, 4 June 2026.
The development of polarization‐sensitive ultraviolet photodetectors is limited by poor heterojunction quality and low polarization sensitivity. This study integrates synthesized CsAg2I3 single crystals with intrinsic non‐centrosymmetry into van der Waals heterojunction devices, demonstrating pronounced pyro‐phototronic effect.

New Insights Into Cranial Base Ontogeny in Modern Humans Through Morphometric Analysis

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 190, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives The cranial base is located at the interface between the face, the brain, and the vertebral column. Understanding its growth is essential for elucidating key aspects of craniofacial development, neurodevelopment, and locomotor function.

Soft‐Tissue‐Focused Orthodontics in Patients With Stage IV Periodontitis: Segmented Arch Technique and Skeletal Anchorage: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
Correction of Soft Tissue Profile Disortion Through Periodontal‐Orthodontic Treatment: Advanced periodontitis with pathologic anterior tooth migration resulted in protrusion and distortion of the soft tissue profile. Following periodontal stabilization, segmented orthodontic mechanics with skeletal anchorage enabled controlled intrusion and retrusion ...

Ectopic Olfactory Neuroblastoma of the Maxillary Sinus: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Olfactory neuroblastoma is a rare neuroendocrine tumor typically arising from the superior nasal cavity, and primary occurrence in the maxillary sinus is exceptionally uncommon, often leading to diagnostic confusion with other sinonasal malignancies. A 34‐year‐old man presented with bilateral nasal obstruction, recurrent epistaxis, and frontal

Waste activated sludge high‐rate treatment of septage: Biodegradability studies and contact phase trials towards a cleaner environment

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 6, Page 2842-2861, June 2026.
Abstract The waste activated sludge high‐rate (WASHR) process, developed in our previous study, is used for septic wastewater treatment. This high‐rate contact stabilization pre‐treatment uses typical waste streams found in wastewater treatment plants to reduce a portion of the loadings on the main treatment trains.

Embryonic cerebrospinal fluid pressure in fetal mice in utero: External factors pressurize the intraventricular space

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, Volume 255, Issue 6, Page 533-547, June 2026.
Abstract Background Previous experiments inducing leakage of embryonic cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) suggest the necessity of intraventricular CSF pressure (PCSF) for brain morphogenesis. Nevertheless, how embryonic PCSF occurs is unclear, especially in utero. Results Using a Landis water manometer, we measured PCSF in fetal mice isolated from the amniotic
