The relationship of 4‐vinylcyclohexene diepoxide toxicity with cell death, oxidative stress, and gap junctions in female rat ovaries

open access: yesReproductive Medicine and Biology, 2021
Purpose It was aimed to investigate the damage caused by VCD toxicity in the ovary, which women working in the industrial field are frequently exposed to, and to show the relationship between gap junction protein, oxidative stress, and apoptosis, which ...

The collapse of cooperation in evolving games [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Game theory provides a quantitative framework for analyzing the behavior of rational agents. The Iterated Prisoner's Dilemma in particular has become a standard model for studying cooperation and cheating, with cooperation often emerging as a robust ...

More examples of discrete co-compact group actions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We survey some results and questions about free actions of infinite groups on products of spheres and euclidean spaces, and give some new co-compact ...

Integrality in the Steinberg module and the top-dimensional cohomology of SL_n(O_K)

open access: yes, 2019
We prove a new structural result for the spherical Tits building attached to SL_n(K) for many number fields K, and more generally for the fraction fields of many Dedekind domains O: the Steinberg module St_n(K) is generated by integral apartments if and ...

Comparison of Suture-Based and Collagen-Based Vascular Closure Devices for Large Bore Arteriotomies—A Meta-Analysis of Bleeding and Vascular Outcomes

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease, 2022
Background: Large bore access procedures rely on vascular closure devices to minimize access site complications. Suture-based vascular closure devices (S-VCD) such as ProGlide and ProStar XL have been readily used, but recently, newer generation collagen-

Targeting PRKCN, an Essential Driver Orchestrating mTOR‐IRF4 Axis Independently of Kinase Activity, in Multiple Myeloma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Constitutive PRKCN expression is driven by super‐enhancers and modulated by NF‐κB signaling in multiple myeloma (MM). PRKCN activates mTORC1/2‐IRF4 signaling axis and favors tumor cell growth independently of its kinase activity. IRF4 reciprocally promotes PRKCN transcription, creating a feed‐forward loop.

open access: yes, 2014
textPurpose: The purpose of this study was to assess whether the factors historically presented in the literature to differentiate vocal cord dysfunction (VCD) from breathing difficulties of other etiologies accurately predict and identify patients who ...
