Hormone-Like Effects of 4-Vinylcyclohexene Diepoxide on Follicular Development
Background4-vinylcyclohexene diepoxide (VCD) has long been considered a hazardous occupational chemical that promotes ovarian failure. However, VCD is also used as a research compound to chemically induce animal models of premature ovarian insufficiency (

Concentration ranges, dose–concentration relationships, and metabolite‐to‐parent drug ratios of therapeutic opioids were evaluated in hair and skin swab samples of 150 pediatric patients. Skin‐derived matrices such as sweat or sebum were shown to contribute to analyte incorporation into hair in a systematic manner.

Diselenide‐Catalyzed Asymmetric Allenylation of Alkynes
An asymmetric allenylation of alkynes is described using chiral lactamides‐based diselenides under oxidative conditions. This led to the corresponding allenylamides with enantiomeric excesses up to 72%, and uncovers an interesting stereodivergency feature related to the β‐H‐syn‐elimination of transient Se(IV) intermediates.

ABSTRACT Knowledge of association between violence and chronic pain in men is limited by neglect of violence experiences as perpetrator, disregard of heterogeneity in cumulative lifetime violence severity (CLVS), weak understanding of mediation pathways, and inattention to social determinants of health (SDOH).

Prognostic Impact of the Hevylite Assay in Patients With IgG or IgA Multiple Myeloma Treated Within the GMMG-MM5 Trial. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Response assessment during treatment of multiple myeloma (MM) typically relies on immunofixation and serum electrophoresis. However, low levels of IgG and especially IgA paraprotein are difficult to quantify reliably. The Hevylite Assay quantifies the kappa and lambda fractions of IgG and IgA separately and is useful to determine response to ...
