CXCL13 Expression Promotes CAR T Cell Antitumor Activity and Potentiates Response to PD‐1 Blockade

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that engineering CAR T cells to express CXCL13 enhances their antitumor efficacy and significantly improves responsiveness to PD‐1 immune checkpoint blockade. CXCL13 promotes T cell persistence, and resistance to early exhaustion via the AKT‐mTOR pathway.

Immunostimulatory DNA Tetrahedron‐Based Nanovaccine Combined With Immune Checkpoint PD‐1 Blockade for Boosting Systemic Immune Responses Against Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
This study introduces an immunomodulatory DNA tetrahedral framework nucleic acid‐based nanovaccine tFNA‐CpG. The functionalized nanovaccine shows stable and well‐defined morphological characteristics and can be efficiently taken up by APCs. When combined with the immune checkpoint inhibitor anti‐PD‐1, it notably ameliorated the immunosuppressive ...

Boosting the Antimicrobial Activity of Quaternary Ammonium Photosensitizers by Janus‐Type AIE Luminogens

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
Novel quaternary ammonium AIE luminogens (AIEgens) with symmetric and Janus structures are rationally designed and prepared for bacteria killings. The integration of experimental and theoretical studies discloses that the Janus‐type AIEgen interacts better with bacterial membranes and shows stronger membrane perturbation, demonstrating superior ...

Machine Learning‐Assisted Infectious Disease Detection in Low‐Income Areas: Toward Rapid Triage of Dengue and Zika Virus Using Open‐Source Hardware

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study introduces an affordable machine learning platform for simultaneous dengue and zika detection using fluorine‐doped tin oxide thin films modified with gold nanoparticles and DNA aptamers. Designed for low‐cost, hardware‐limited devices (< $25), the model achieves 95.3% accuracy and uses only 9.4 kB of RAM, demonstrating viability for resource‐
