Representation of vector electromagnetic beams

The propagation of a vector electromagnetic beam in a linear homogeneous dielectric half-space is considered using the Whittaker potentials for the electromagnetic fields. A relation between the Whittaker potentials and the vector and scalar potentials of the electromagnetic theory is obtained.

Cylindrical vector beam-splitters

We show that radial and azimuthal polarizations can be separated with a circular sub-wavelength grating. The proposed grating-based beam-splitter can be used to generate cylindrical vector beams from circularly polarized light.

Generation of arbitrary vector beams

Optical vector beams arise from point to point spatial variations of the electric component of an electromagnetic field over the transverse plane. In this work, we present a novel experimental technique to generate arbitrary vec- tor beams, and provide sufficient evidence to validate their state of polarization.

Characterization of undetcted vector beams

CLEO 2025
In this study we experimentally demonstrate the characterization of a vector beam- light with spatially varying polarization- without the neccessity of its detection. To this end, we employ the effect of induced coherence in a nonlinear interferometer. Our findings pave the way for new approaches in quantum information processing such as QKD.
