Ultrafast entanglement switching and singlet–triplet transitions control via structured terahertz pulses

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
Terahertz (THz) vector beams with spatially textured polarization are proposed to steer the spin and spatial distributions of two interacting electrons in a quantum dot.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Integral transformation solution of free-space cylindrical vector beams and prediction of modified-Bessel-Gaussian vector beams

open access: yes, 2007
A unified description of the free-space cylindrical vector beams is presented, which is an integral transformation solution to the vector Helmholtz equation and the transversality condition.

An All‐Optical Driven Bio‐Photovoltaic Interface for Active Control of Live Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bio‐photovoltaic Interface (BIO‐PV‐I) for live cell manipulation is presented. BIO‐PV‐I can be activated non‐invasively and remotely to control the spatial motility, adhesion, and morphology of cells adhering to it. BIO‐PV‐I uses a patterned light‐induced electric potential in iron‐doped lithium niobate crystals whose light‐driven and reversible nature,

Circular‐Polarization‐Sensitive Organic Photodetectors with a Chiral Nanopatterned Electrode Inverse‐Designed by Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A chiral photodetector capable of selectively distinguishing left‐ and right‐handed circularly polarized light is experimentally demonstrated. The device, which features a nanopatterned electrode inverse‐designed by a genetic algorithm within a metal–dielectric–metal nanocavity that incorporates a vacuum‐deposited small‐molecule multilayer, exhibits ...

Dynamic Excitation of Surface Plasmon Polaritons with Vector Laguerre–Gaussian Beams

open access: yesOptics
We investigate the dynamic excitation of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) using vector Laguerre–Gauss (LG) beams, which offer unique properties for manipulating the polarization and spatial distribution of light.

Generating vector beams by modulating and superimposing multiple polarization modes within a helium-neon resonant cavity

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
In recent years, vector beams, which have greater control freedom due to their non-uniform spatial polarization distribution, have received extensive attention from scholars.

Self-trapped bidirectional waveguides in a saturable photorefractive medium

open access: yes, 2003
We introduce a time-dependent model for the generation of joint solitary waveguides by counter-propagating light beams in a photorefractive crystal.

Control of Polarization and Polar Helicity in BiFeO3 by Epitaxial Strain and Interfacial Chemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In BiFeO3 thin films, the interplay of interfacial chemistry, electrostatics, and epitaxial strain is engineered to stabilize homohelicity in polarization textures at the domain scale. The synergistic use of a Bi2O2‐terminated Aurivillius buffer layer and a highly anisotropic compressive epitaxial strain offers new routes to control the polar‐texture ...
