The authors present results on the geometry of the attainability set of a family of vector fields, results regarding the geometry of \(T\)-attainability sets and the geometry of orbits of Killing vector fields. This paper contains some interesting findings which could provide inspiration for further studies on the subject.

Non-Hermitian potentials, as known since a decade, can favor unidirectionality of the flows in one and two-dimensional systems. Inspired by such counterintuitive property of non-Hermitian potential, we propose a novel concept of PT-vector fields to manipulate the field flows in two- (or higher) dimensional systems.

The purpose of this book is to explain in a rigorous way Stokes’s theorem and to facilitate the student’s use of this theorem in applications. Neither of these aims can be achieved without first agreeing on the notation and necessary background concepts of vector calculus, and therein lies the motivation for our introductory chapter.

Localization in unknown environments using low-cost sensors remains a challenge. This paper presents a new localization approach that learns the spatial variation of an observed continuous signal. We model the signal as a piece-wise linear function and estimate its parameters using a simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) approach.
