Compressed Passive Macromodeling [PDF]
This paper presents an approach for the extraction of passive macromodels of large-scale interconnects from their frequency-domain scattering responses. Here, large scale is intended both in terms of number of electrical ports and required dynamic model ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Perforated Medium Applied in Frequency Selective Surfaces and Curved Antenna Radome
A perforated medium (PM) combined with an ultra-wideband frequency selective surface (FSS) is proposed for the antenna radome design, which provides more flexibility in the radome materials selection and processing. The dielectric constant performance of

Z Physics Constraints on Vector Leptoquarks
We analyze the constraints on vector leptoquarks coming from radiative corrections to $Z$ physics. We perform a global fitting to the LEP data including the oblique and non-universal contributions of the most general effective Lagrangian for vector ...

The random component of mixer-based nonlinear vector network analyzer measurement uncertainty [PDF]
The uncertainty, due to random noise, of the measurements made with a mixer-based nonlinear vector network analyzer are analyzed. An approximate covariance matrix corresponding to the measurements is derived that can be used for fitting models and ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Transfer function (TF) is an acknowledged method for power transformer mechanical faults detection. However the past published works mostly discovered how to specify the faults levels and paid less attention to detection of the type of faults using ...

Fatigue Crack Length Estimation and Prediction using Trans-fitting with Support Vector Regression
A method is described in this paper for crack propagation prediction using only the initial crack length of the target specimen. The proposed method consists of two parts: (1) crack length estimation using support vector regression (SVR) and (2) crack ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
