We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Network model of on-chip antennas [PDF]
A Network model of an ultra-wide band, intra-chip wireless link is presented. Numerical data of Z-parameters, obtained from full wave simulation of the structure, are used to obtain a rational function representation via the Vector Fitting procedure ...

Meson-nucleon scattering and vector mesons in nuclear matter [PDF]
The properties of vector mesons in nuclear matter are discussed. I examine the constraints imposed by elementary processes on the widths of $\rho$ and $\omega$ mesons in nuclear matter. Furthermore, results for the $\rho$- and $\omega$-nucleon scattering

LeanVec: Searching vectors faster by making them fit
Modern deep learning models have the ability to generate high-dimensional vectors whose similarity reflects semantic resemblance. Thus, similarity search, i.e., the operation of retrieving those vectors in a large collection that are similar to a given query, has become a critical component of a wide range of applications that demand highly accurate ...

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Role of vector and pseudoscalar mesons in understanding $1/2^-$ $N^*$ and $\Delta$ resonances
A study of nonstrange meson-baryon systems has been made with the idea of understanding the properties of the low-lying $1/2^-$ $N^*$ and $\Delta$ resonances.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

EYE-HEIGHT/WIDTH PREDICTION USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS FROM S-PARAMETERS WITH VECTOR FITTING [PDF]
Artificial neural networks (ANNs) have been used to model microwave and RF devices over the years. Conventionally, S-parameters of microwave/RF designs are used as the inputs of neural network models to predict the electrical properties of the designs ...

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.
