Exclusive vector meson production at HERMES

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
Exclusive electroproduction of vector mesons has been measured on hydrogen and deuterium targets at HERMES using the 27.6 GeV electron/positron beam of HERA. From this process, more information can be obtained about generalized parton distributions (GPDs)

Branching fractions of semileptonic D and $$D_s$$ D s decays from the covariant light-front quark model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
Based on the predictions of the relevant form factors from the covariant light-front quark model, we show the branching fractions for the $$D (D_s) \rightarrow (P,\,S,\,V,\,A)\,\ell \nu _\ell $$ D ( D s ) → ( P , S , V , A ) ℓ ν ℓ ( $$\ell =e$$ ℓ = e or $

Photon Shadowing in Nuclei [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة جامعة النجاح للأبحاث العلوم الطبيعية, 1986
Photonuclear Shadowing is studied using the Glauber - generalized vector meson dominance approach. The calculation is performed using both diagonal and off - diagonal generalized vector dominance (GVMD) models. The results are compatible with experiments

Hard Electroproduction of Vector Mesons [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the XVI International Workshop on Deep-Inelastic Scattering and Related Topics, 2008
It is reported on a global analysis of hard vector-meson electroproduction which is based on the handbag factorization. The generalized parton distributions are constructed from their forward limits with the help of double distributions and the partonic subprocesses are calculated within the modified perturbative approach.

Hydrochorous Dispersal of Diaspores in a Reconnected Floodplain: Distribution Patterns and Potential for the Development of Floodplain Habitats

open access: yesApplied Vegetation Science, Volume 29, Issue 1, January/March 2026.
Dike relocation reconnected a section of the Elbe River to its floodplain, thereby restoring a more natural flooding regime, and hydrochorous dispersal of diaspores. Low areas received the most abundant and diverse diaspore deposition, which was dominated by herbaceous species characteristic of open floodplain habitats.

Pion and Vector Meson Form Factors in the Kuperstein-Sonnenschein holographic model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We study phenomenological aspects of the holographic model of chiral symmetry breaking recently introduced by Kuperstein and Sonnenschein (KS). As a first step, we calculate the spectrum of vector and axial-vector mesons in the KS model.

The Miners of South America: Impacts of Climate Change on the Distribution of Geositta Miners Along Elevational Gradients

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 58, Issue 1, January 2026.
We modeled the current and future distributions of seven Geositta species along elevational gradients in South America under two climate change scenarios. Our results show that most species are projected to lose suitable habitats, particularly under the high‐emission scenario, with distinct responses between lowland and highland taxa.

First extraction of the $$\phi $$ ϕ - $$^{4}\textrm{He}$$ 4 He scattering length from near-threshold $$\phi $$ ϕ photoproduction on helium-4

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We present a model-independent extraction of the $$\phi $$ ϕ – $$^{4}\textrm{He}$$ 4 He scattering length from near-threshold $$\phi $$ ϕ photoproduction on helium-4, based on LEPS Collaboration data for the coherent process $$\gamma + {}^{4}\textrm{He} \

Coherent Vector Meson Photoproduction with Nuclear Breakup in Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions

open access: yes, 2002
Relativistic heavy ions are copious sources of virtual photons. The large photon flux gives rise to a substantial photonuclear interaction probability at impact parameters where no hadronic interactions can occur.

Identifying climate‐change refugia for species management and conservation in the Pacific Northwest

open access: yesConservation Science and Practice, Volume 8, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract The impacts of climate change are already affecting many species and habitats, presenting challenges for species management and conservation. Protecting climate refugia—areas buffered from climate shifts where species can persist despite broader changes—has been proposed as a tool for managing species under climate change.
