Spectra and decay rates of bb̄ meson using Gaussian wave function

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
Using the Gaussian wave function mass spectra and decay rates of bb̄ meson are investigated in the framework of phenomenological quark anti-quark potential (coulomb plus power) model consisting of relativistic corrections to the kinetic energy term.

A study of the vector meson ψ(4040) [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
We investigate the well-known cc¯$c\overline c $ vector state ψ(4040) in the frame-work of a quantum field theoretical model. In particular, we study its spectral function and search for the pole(s) in the complex plane. Quite interestingly, the spectral

Contributions of loops with dynamical vector mesons to masses and decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons and their quark mass dependence [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
The contributions of one-loop diagrams with dynamical vector mesons to masses and decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons are determined. Hereby, a relativistic Lagrangian for both the pseudoscalar-meson octet and the vector-meson nonet is used. The vector mesons are given in the antisymmetric tensor representation.

Vector-Meson Electroproduction from Generalized Vector Dominance [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Including destructively interfering off-diagonal transitions of diffraction-dissociation type, we arrive at a formulation of GVD for exclusive vector-meson production in terms of a continuous spectral representation of dipole form.

Trait diversity in plant communities maintained by competition for water and light

open access: yesEcological Monographs, Volume 95, Issue 1, February 2025.
Abstract Ecological communities frequently exhibit remarkable taxonomic and trait diversity, and this diversity is consistently shown to regulate ecosystem function and resilience. However, ecologists lack a synthetic theory for how this diversity is maintained when species compete for limited resources, hampering our ability to project the future of ...

Axial, induced pseudoscalar, and pion-nucleon form factors in manifestly Lorentz-invariant chiral perturbation theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We calculate the nucleon form factors G_A and G_P of the isovector axial-vector current and the pion-nucleon form factor G_piN in manifestly Lorentz-invariant baryon chiral perturbation theory up to and including order O(p^4). In addition to the standard

Ornithogenic alteration of a tundra ecosystem from decades of intense herbivory and dense nesting

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2025.
Abstract Migratory animals can serve as ecological links between geographically distant ecosystems. Moreover, when seasonally linked ecosystems differ in carrying capacity of migrant species, those with high capacity may support population growth with consequences to shared ecosystems with lower capacity through trophic cascades.

Exclusive vector meson production at HERMES

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
Exclusive electroproduction of vector mesons has been measured on hydrogen and deuterium targets at HERMES using the 27.6 GeV electron/positron beam of HERA. From this process, more information can be obtained about generalized parton distributions (GPDs)

Branching fractions of semileptonic D and $$D_s$$ D s decays from the covariant light-front quark model

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
Based on the predictions of the relevant form factors from the covariant light-front quark model, we show the branching fractions for the $$D (D_s) \rightarrow (P,\,S,\,V,\,A)\,\ell \nu _\ell $$ D ( D s ) → ( P , S , V , A ) ℓ ν ℓ ( $$\ell =e$$ ℓ = e or $

Variable effects of wildlife and livestock on questing tick abundance across a topographical–climatic gradient

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2025.
Abstract Large‐bodied wild ungulates are declining worldwide, while domestic livestock continue to increase in abundance. Such changes in large herbivore communities should have strong effects on the control of ticks and tick‐borne disease as they can indirectly modify habitat and directly serve as final hosts for ticks' lifecycles.
