First characterization of the scattering length distribution of vector meson interaction with deuteron [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Under the framework of the vector meson dominance model (VMD), the absolute scattering lengths of light vector mesons ($\phi$, $\omega$, and $\rho$) with the deuteron are calculated from the cross sections of vector meson photoproduction off a deuteron.

Multipole Moments of Heavy Vector and Axial-Vector Mesons in QCD [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. D 101, 054009 (2020), 2019
The magnetic and quadrupole moments of the vector and axial-vector mesons containing heavy quark are estimated within the light cone sum rules method. Our predictions on magnetic moments for the vector mesons are compared with the results obtained by other approaches.

The Quest for the Quark‐Gluon Plasma From the Perspective of Dynamical Models of Relativistic Heavy‐Ion Collisions

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The physics of heavy‐ion collisions is one of the most exciting and challenging directions of science for the last four decades. On the theoretical side one deals with a non‐abelian field theory, while on the experimental side today's largest accelerators are needed to enable these studies.

Radiative decays of the Y(3940), Z(3930) and the X(4160) as dynamically generated resonances [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We study the radiative decay properties of the charmonium-like X, Y and Z mesons generated dynamically from vector meson-vector meson interaction in the framework of a unitarized hidden-gauge formalism.

Radiative vector meson decay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We study the radiative $\rho$, $\omega$ and $\phi$ decay into $\pi^0 \pi^0 \gamma$ and $\pi^0 \eta \gamma $ taking into account mechanisms in which there are two sequential vector-vector-pseudoscalar or axial-vector--vector--pseudoscalar steps followed ...

Compressibility Function and Speed of Sound in the Non‐Commutative Quantum Hadrodynamics Type‐I Model for Neutron Stars

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate the effects of a minimal measurable length on neutron stars, within the quantum hadrodynamics (QHD‐I) model modified by the Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP). Working in a deformed Poisson algebra framework, we incorporate GUP effects via a time‐invariant transformation of the phase space volume, effectively reducing the ...

Central production of mesons: Exotic states versus Pomeron structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We demonstrate that the azimuthal dependence of central meson production in hadronic collisions, when suitably binned, provides unambiguous tests of whether the Pomeron couples like a conserved vector-current to protons.

Scaling from microsite to landscape to resolve litter decomposition dynamics in globally extensive drylands

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Decomposition is the transformation of dead organic matter into its inorganic constituents. In most biomes, decomposition rates can be accurately predicted with simple mathematical models, but these models have long under‐predicted decomposition in globally extensive ...

Semileptonic and Rare $B$-meson transitions in a QCD relativistic potential model [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Using a QCD relativistic potential model, previously applied to the calculation of the heavy meson leptonic constants, we evaluate the form factors governing the exclusive decays $B\to\rho\ell\nu$, $B\to K^*\gamma$ and $B\to K^*\ell^+\ell^-$.
