Excited heavy meson decays to light vector mesons: implications for spectroscopy [PDF]
We analyze strong decays of excited charmed and beauty mesons into a light vector meson, exploiting the effective field theory based on heavy quark (HQ) symmetries for heavy mesons, and on the hidden gauge symmetry to incorporate light vector mesons.

The understory vegetation of boreal forests plays a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity by creating habitats, supplying food resources, and regulating microclimate and soil conditions. This essential layer is frequently affected by disturbances such as forest fires and clear‐cutting, which significantly alter understory communities and the ...

Charged vector mesons in a strong magnetic field
We show that charged vector mesons cannot be condensed by a magnetic field. Although some hadron models predict the charged vector meson condensation in a strong magnetic field, we prove, by means of the Vafa-Witten theorem, that this is not the case in ...

Effective Chiral Theory for Pseudoscalar and Vector Mesons [PDF]
We consider the vector meson mixing scheme and mass splitting within the framework of an extended $U(3)_L\bigotimes U(3)_R$ chiral effective field theory based on the hidden local symmetry approach where, the pseudoscalar and vector meson nonets play the

Information on the structure of the rho meson from the pion form-factor
The electromagnetic pion form-factor is calculated in a Bethe-Salpeter approach which accounts for pion rescattering. In the scattering kernel the pion-pion contact interaction from lowest-order chiral perturbation theory is considered together with an ...

Summary Magnesium (Mg) is a crucial element in plants, particularly for photosynthesis. Mg homeostasis is influenced by environmental and genetic factors, and our understanding of its variation in natural populations remains incomplete. We examine the variation in leaf Mg accumulation across the distribution of Arabidopsis thaliana, and we investigate ...

The firm understanding of standard quark-antiquark states (including excited states) is necessary to search for non-conventional mesons with the same quantum numbers.

Production of one or two vector mesons in peripheral high-energy collisions of heavy ions [PDF]
We study the production of spin-one mesons in high-energy heavy-ion collisions with peripheral kinematics in the framework of QED. The cross sections of the production of a single vector meson and of two different ones are presented. The explicit dependence on the virtuality of the intermediate vector meson is obtained within a quark model.

Falwa: Python Package to Implement Finite‐Amplitude Local Wave Activity Diagnostics on Climate Data
The open‐source Python package falwa encapsulates the Finite‐Amplitude Local Rossby Wave Activity diagnostics implemented on gridded climate data, which enables comprehensive analysis of the dynamics of finite‐amplitude Rossby waves observed in climate data, which helps to understand the drivers of their life cycles.
