Some Optimality Conditions in Vector Optimization

Journal of Information and Optimization Sciences, 1989
Abstract In this paper, by means of a theorem of the alternative for generalized systems, weak alternative is introduced and some necessary and/or sufficient optimality conditions such as a generalized saddle-point condition is deduced; a simple proof of the Fritz John conditions for multiobjective functions is given.

Optimality Conditions for Vector Optimization Problems

Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2009
The paper considers vector optimization problems (VOP) of the form \[ \min F(x) \text{ subject to } u_i(x) \leq 0, i\in\{1, \dots, m\}; v_j(x) =0, j\in\{1, \dots, n\}, \] where \(F:X \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^L\) and \(u_i, v_j: X\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) and \(X\) is a Banach space.

Optimizing C++ Vector Expressions

IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 2000
Recently, I've been entertaining myself by studying all the nifty new programming techniques that have been invented since I was in school. I started with C++ and object-oriented programming. I'm now progressing through generic programming, aspect-oriented programming, partial evaluation and generative programming.

Vectorization in Set Optimization

Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2013
This paper presents a method to convert a set optimization problem to a vector optimization problem. The author introduces two vector maps from a family of subsets of a locally convex space equipped with an ordering cone, to the 2-dimensional and 4-dimensional spaces of functions over the positive polar cone of the ordering cone.

Proximal Methods in Vector Optimization

SIAM Journal on Optimization, 2005
Summary: We consider the vector optimization problem of finding weakly efficient points for maps from a Hilbert space \(X\) to a Banach space \(Y\) with respect to the partial order induced by a closed, convex, and pointed cone \(C\subset Y\) with a nonempty interior.

Optimal vector transform for vector quantization

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 1994
The vector transform has previously been proposed for vector quantization image coding. It is intended for decorrelating intervector dependency and preserving intravector dependency. The present authors study optimally such a transform. It is found that the optimal vector transform in the above senses, with the first-order Gaussian Markov model, does ...
