A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

On a Nonsmooth Vector Optimization Problem with Generalized Cone Invexity
By using Clarke’s generalized gradients we consider a nonsmooth vector optimization problem with cone constraints and introduce some generalized cone-invex functions called K-α-generalized invex, K-α-nonsmooth invex, and other related functions.

Large-Scale Evolutionary Multi-Objective Optimization Based on Direction Vector Sampling
The large-scale multi-objective optimization problem is characterized by a large decision space. How to design an efficient optimization algorithm that can search a large decision space and find the global optimum in the objective space is a very ...

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

In this paper, an array diagnosis method using amplitude-only far-field data in impulsive noise environment is proposed. For amplitude-only far-field data, the power of the observed field is quadratic with respect to array excitation, which leads to a ...

Vector Hydrophone Array Design Based on Off-Grid Compressed Sensing
Array design is the primary consideration for array signal processing, and sparse array design is an important and challenging task. In underwater acoustic environments, the vector hydrophone array contains more information than the scalar hydrophone ...

Fitting spline curves to data points is a very important issue in many applied fields. It is also challenging, because these curves typically depend on many continuous variables in a highly interrelated nonlinear way.
