Vector quantization (VQ) is a critical step in representing signals in digital form for computer processing. It has various uses in signal and image compression and in classification. If the signal samples are quantized separately, the operation is called “scalar quantization.” Consequently, if the samples are grouped to form vectors, their ...

In a real-world environment, there are several difficult obstacles to overcome in classification. Those obstacles are data overlapping and skewness of data distribution. Overlapping data occur when many data from different classes overlap with each other;

Multiresolution Vector Quantization [PDF]
Multiresolution source codes are data compression algorithms yielding embedded source descriptions. The decoder of a multiresolution code can build a source reproduction by decoding the embedded bit stream in part or in whole. All decoding procedures start at the beginning of the binary source description and decode some fraction of that string ...

Low‐Symmetry Weyl Semimetals: A Path to Ideal Topological States
This study presents a theoretical framework for realizing ideal Weyl semimetals, where Weyl nodes are well‐isolated at the Fermi level. The approach is exemplified in the low‐symmetry material Cu2SnSe3, which exhibits tunable topological phases, current‐induced orbital magnetization, and a strong circular photogalvanic effect, making it a promising ...

Understanding Decoherence of the Boron Vacancy Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride
State‐of‐the‐art computations unravel the intricate decoherence dynamics of the boron vacancy center in hexagonal boron nitride across magnetic fields from 0 to 3 T. Five distinct regimes emerge, dominated by nuclear spin interactions, revealing optimal coherence times of 1–20 µs in the 180–350 mT range for isotopically pure samples.

Fermi Surface Nesting and Anomalous Hall Effect in Magnetically Frustrated Mn2PdIn
Mn2PdIn, a frustrated inverse Heusler alloy, showing electronic‐structure driven anomalous Hall effect with Weyl crossings, Fermi‐surface nesting and near‐zero magnetization ideal for low‐magnetization spintronics. Abstract Noncollinear magnets with near‐zero net magnetization and nontrivial bulk electronic topology hold significant promise for ...
