Vectors

Current Protocols in Molecular Biology, 2003
AbstractThis unit presents tables of vectors described throughout the manual, organized by particular function. Individual entries in each table provide figure citations, some specific characteristics, and restriction site data for each vector, as well as sources when available.

Vectors and Vector Spaces

2017
In this chapter we discuss a wide range of basic topics related to vectors of real numbers. Some of the properties carry over to vectors over other fields, such as complex numbers, but the reader should not assume this. Occasionally, for emphasis, we will refer to “real” vectors or “real” vector spaces, but unless it is stated otherwise, we are ...

Either a Vector or Vectors?

An Introduction to Vectors, Vector Operators and Vector Analysis

2016
Ideal for undergraduate and graduate students of science and engineering, this book covers fundamental concepts of vectors and their applications in a single volume. The first unit deals with basic formulation, both conceptual and theoretical. It discusses applications of algebraic operations, Levi-Civita notation, and curvilinear coordinate systems ...

Vectors and vector-borne diseases of horses

Veterinary Research Communications, 2012
Most diseases of horses with zoonotic importance are transmitted by arthropods. The vectors belong to two very distantly related groups, the chelicerate Ixodidae (Acari = ticks) and the hexapod Diptera (true flies). Almost all relevant species are predestined for transmitting pathogens by their blood-sucking habits.

Compatibility of vectored and non-vectored VDSL2

2012 46th Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems (CISS), 2012
Vectoring cancels the crosstalk between multiple VDSL2 lines and can greatly improve performance, particularly on short loops. Crosstalk cancellation can only be performed on lines within a vector group and vectored lines may experience uncancelled crosstalk from nearby lines that are non-vectored or in a separate vector group.

THE VECTOR MULTIPROCESSOR

International Journal of High Speed Computing, 2000
Summary: The vector multiprocessor brings to the multiprocessor what vectorization brought to the single processor. In addition to the usual complement of logic and arithmetic units, each processor contains a programmable communication unit with registers that communicate directly with comparable registers in neighboring processors via an \(n ...

Vectors and Vector Fields

2012
The purpose of this book is to explain in a rigorous way Stokes’s theorem and to facilitate the student’s use of this theorem in applications. Neither of these aims can be achieved without first agreeing on the notation and necessary background concepts of vector calculus, and therein lies the motivation for our introductory chapter.
