Exploring Qualitative Methods of Historical Ecology and Their Links With Qualitative Research
A review of the historical ecology literature led us to the realization that there was an important gap in terms of recognized methodological procedures and techniques. Contributions along these lines are sparse. However, some publications (book chapters

A multi‐omics framework combining multitissue genome‐wide association studies, metabolomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and functional validation uncovers the genetic basis of specialized metabolism in quinoa. The study identifies hundreds of metabolite‐associated loci, prioritizes candidate genes for saponin, betalain, and flavonoid biosynthesis ...

SiDT1 Defines Plant Architecture Reminiscent of Green Revolution in Foxtail Millet
SiDT1 encodes a GA3‐oxidase that creates a semi‐dwarf, lodging‐resistant architecture reminiscent of the rice Green Revolution. The resulting ideotype performs well under dense planting and provides a valuable genetic resource for high‐yield, mechanized foxtail millet production. ABSTRACT Foxtail millet (Setaria italica) is a drought‐tolerant C4 cereal

Influence of Conservation of Native Vegetation on Land Values in Moree Plains Shire, NSW [PDF]
The Native Vegetation Conservation Act was introduced on January 1st 1998 to protect native grassland and woodland in New South Wales. The Act has limited clearing of native vegetation and development to crops and pasture, has protected biodiversity, and

28 years of vegetation change (1978 – 2006) in a calcareous coastal dune system [PDF]
Changes in vegetation structure and composition over a 28 year period (1978–2006) following removal of human-induced disturbances, were examined in a calcareous coastal dune system in Point Nepean National Park (380 19’S, 1440 41’E) in south-eastern ...

Single‐cell transcriptomics of soybean roots soon after rhizobial inoculation reveals epidermal and cortical cell‐specific programs and gene‐regulatory networks acting in symbiosis establishment. We identify an ethylene‐driven regulatory circuit involving WRKY6.3/6.4 transcription factors targeting select Nod19 genes that promotes infection‐thread ...

Vegetation height products between 60° S and 60° N from ICESat GLAS data. [PDF]
We present new coarse resolution (0.5 ×0.5 )vegetation height and vegetation-cover fraction data sets between 60 S and 60 N for use in climate models and ecological models.

A “nutritional trap” strategy centered on disrupting bacterial iron homeostasis is proposed. The synthesized Bi‐TP@FU (TBF) can target Helicobacter pylori, interfere with the bacterial iron uptake and utilization processes to disrupt its iron homeostasis, induce bacterial death, and meanwhile preserve the balance of the intestinal flora.

Enhancing Vegetation Mapping in Mexico through Artificial Intelligence and Remote Sensing Techniques [PDF]
Mexico, recognized for its exceptional biodiversity, is home to over 58 vegetation types and nearly 30,000 documented plant species. This remarkable ecological variety is influenced by the country’s complex topography, diverse climates, and varying

Furrow tillage resolves the conventional‐vs.‐no‐tillage trade‐off by simultaneously cutting CO2 efflux to 2.0–3.0 g C m−2 d−1 and unlocking high nutrient availability for the rice rhizosphere. This scalable agronomic solution strengthens soil health, enhances plant physiology, reshapes microbial metabolism, and shifts paddy systems toward a net ...
