Detection of fast-changing intra-seasonal vegetation dynamics of drylands using solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) [PDF]
Dryland ecosystems are the habitat supporting 2 billion people on Earth, and they strongly impact the global terrestrial carbon sink. Vegetation growth in drylands is mainly controlled by water availability with strong intra-seasonal variability.

Effects of Shoreline Dynamics on Saltmarsh Vegetation
We evaluated the impact of shoreline dynamics on fringing vegetation density at mid- and low-marsh elevations at a high-energy site in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Particularly, we selected eight unprotected shoreline stretches (75 m each) at a historically eroding site and measured their inter-annual lateral movement rate using the DSAS method for ...

A “nutritional trap” strategy centered on disrupting bacterial iron homeostasis is proposed. The synthesized Bi‐TP@FU (TBF) can target Helicobacter pylori, interfere with the bacterial iron uptake and utilization processes to disrupt its iron homeostasis, induce bacterial death, and meanwhile preserve the balance of the intestinal flora.

Furrow tillage resolves the conventional‐vs.‐no‐tillage trade‐off by simultaneously cutting CO2 efflux to 2.0–3.0 g C m−2 d−1 and unlocking high nutrient availability for the rice rhizosphere. This scalable agronomic solution strengthens soil health, enhances plant physiology, reshapes microbial metabolism, and shifts paddy systems toward a net ...

This study unveils a novel antibacterial mechanism against MRSA, in which the compound Py‐27 selectively targets and inhibits aspartate transcarbamoylase (ATCase), a key enzyme in pyrimidine synthesis. This inhibition disrupts DNA replication, induces oxidative damage, leading to potent bactericidal activity.

Adaptive Responses of Tropical Crops: A Multi‐Scale Omics Integrated Perspective
Tropical crops integrate genomic, morphological, physiological, and ecological adaptations to thrive under extreme and variable environments. This review highlights how natural selection, domestication, and breeding shape stress resilience, resource‐use strategies, and productivity in sugarcane, banana, cassava, rubber and oil palm, offering new routes
