Mapping the “Supply–Demand–Flow” of Ecosystem Services for Ecosystem Management in China

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a “supply–demand–flow” framework clarifies how ecosystem services move between regions by distinguishing potential and actual supply and demand. Using integrated biophysical–socioeconomic modeling, nine services in China were mapped.

Postfire Vegetation Recovery Assessment Through Time Series Reconstruction of Vegetation Index

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Postfire vegetation recovery is a complex process involving spatiotemporally heterogeneous changes in vegetation structure and physiology. While remote sensing offers extensive monitoring capabilities, retrieving consistent recovery trajectories is often

Modelling Interactions between Climate and Global Vegetation in response to Climate Change [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Climate change associated with increasing concentrations of the greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide(CO2), is expected to lead to an increase in global mean temperature of between 1 and 3.5 deg C by the end of the 21st century, with regional changes in ...

Two Routes to Land: Genomic Underpinnings of Parallel Aerial Egg Deposition in Aquatic Old‐World Pila and New‐World Pomacea (Ampullariidae)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Comparative genomics of Gondwana‐diverged Pila and Pomacea reveals parallel evolution of aerial oviposition. Convergent chromosomal rearrangements reshape regulatory landscapes within topologically associating domains. Lineage‐specific gene family expansions and viral‐derived perivitelline proteins (PV1) underpin desiccation resistance.

The BnTFL1‐BnJAM3‐BnSWEETs Module Orchestrates Seed Storage Reserve Accumulation in Brassica napus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BnaC03.TFL1 and BnaA01.JAM3 form a complex that facilitates the transport of soluble sugars from the seed coat to the embryo by directly activating the expression of BnSWEETs. Furthermore, BnaC03.TFL1 and BnaA01.JAM3 work cooperatively to promote soluble sugar and oil production while suppressing protein deposition.

Assessment of Agricultural Drought Using Vegetation Condition Index and Vegetation Health Index in Niger River Basin, Nigeria

open access: yesGeosfera Indonesia
Soil moisture indicates the dryness of the ground surface. This phenomenon is directly tied to vegetation quality and Land Surface Temperature in a specific place.

Sensor system for acquisition of vegetation indexes [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental
Vegetation indexes are important indicators of the health and yield of agricultural crops. Among the sensors used to evaluate vegetation indexes, proximal sensors can be used for real-time decision-making. Thus, the objective of this study was to develop

A Synergistic Hydrogel‐Microalgae Platform for Dual‐Targeting of Intestinal and Neuroimmune Dysfunction in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bioactive hydrogel incorporating Chlorella vulgaris and paeoniflorin within a carboxymethyl chitosan/sodium alginate matrix cross‐linked with genipin is developed for inflammatory bowel disease therapy. The hydrogel exhibits gastric stability and intestine‐responsive release.
