Effects of Pansharpening on Vegetation Indices

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2014
This study evaluated the effects of image pansharpening on Vegetation Indices (VIs), and found that pansharpening was able to downscale single-date and multi-temporal Landsat 8 VI data without introducing significant distortions in VI values.

Retrieval of Leaf Area Index (LAI) and Soil Water Content (WC) Using Hyperspectral Remote Sensing under Controlled Glass House Conditions for Spring Barley and Sugar Beet [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Leaf area index (LAI) and water content (WC) in the root zone are two major hydro-meteorological parameters that exhibit a dominant control on water, energy and carbon fluxes, and are therefore important for any regional eco-hydrological or ...

Natural Variations of ZmRLR1 Mediate the Root Lodging Resistance of Maize by Regulating Root Ascorbate and Auxin Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Root lodging severely limits crop yield and quality. We reveal that ZmRLR1, a plasma membrane b‐type cytochrome, regulates lodging resistance in maize through dual roles: modulating intracellular redox balance and functioning as a novel component of clathrin‐mediated endocytosis to influence auxin homeostasis. Moreover, natural variations in the ZmRLR1

Technical Note: Comparing and ranking soil drought indices performance over Europe, through remote-sensing of vegetation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In the past years there have been many attempts to produce and improve global soil-moisture datasets and drought indices. However, comparing and validating these various datasets is not straightforward. Here, interannual variations in drought indices are

Gut Microbiota‐Non‐Coding RNA Axis in Immune Modulation and Disease: From Mechanisms to Clinical Translation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Immune homeostasis is indispensable for preserving organismal integrity, orchestrated through complex molecular networks encompassing immune cell dynamics, microbial cues, and epigenetic regulation. Among these, the gut microbiota‐non‐coding RNA (ncRNA) axis has recently garnered substantial attention as a multifaceted modulator of host ...

A summary of Asian vegetation using annual vegetation dynamic indicators

open access: yesGeocarto International, 1997
Abstract Time series Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) data of eastern Asia for the period April to October 1992 have been analyzed to produce statistically independent annual indicators of vegetation development. Monthly AVHRR data composites used in the analysis were generated by USGS EROS Data Center using the maximum Normalized ...

Influence of Different Bandwidths on LAI Estimation Using Vegetation Indices

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2020
Leaf area index (LAI) is a valuable indicator used in vegetation growth monitoring. To optimize the index selection according to the type of remote sensing data and to improve the inversion accuracy of LAI, this article analyzes the influence of ...

Dual‐Key Genetic Circuit Enables Stable and Self‐Regulated Engineered Bacteria for the Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐regulated Escherichia coli Nissle 1917 strain equipped with a dual‐key genetic circuit achieved antibiotic‐free stability and programmable lysis for therapeutic protein delivery. By co‐expressing an IL‐2 mutant and Amuc_1100, the engineered bacteria restored immune balance and epithelial integrity, providing a safe and precise approach for ...
