Allium sativum, a Natural and Pharmaco‐Remedial Panacea for Entero‐Gastritis, Antibiocidal/Dysbiogenesis, and Systemic Health Relevance

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Natural Pharmaco‐remedial impacts of Allium sativum on Systemic health. ABSTRACT Arising from the emergence of diverse difficult‐to‐treat health cases, alterative‐therapeutic strategies have become a potential way forward for management/control. In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), various plant materials have been sourced as alterative‐therapeutic ...

Charting the Path to Increased Oil Palm Output in Ghana Beyond Area Expansion: Technology or Managerial Capacity — Which Leads the Way?

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study sets out to investigate the prospects for raising oil palm output in sub‐Saharan Africa, particularly Ghana, without further expansion of cropland. Given global concerns about oil palm's role in deforestation and land use change, the focus is on enhancing productivity on existing farmlands.

Regional Differences in U.S. Consumer Preferences for Native Woody Shrubs With Varying Aesthetic Characteristics

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Native plants offer a variety of aesthetic (e.g., fall colour, fruit, flowers) and functional benefits (e.g., pollinator friendly, wildlife friendly, water management). How these benefits influence consumer choice and perceived value of native versus introduced plants is not well understood.

Stochastic Locomotion Emerging From Body–Environment Interactions in a Mexican Jumping Bean–Inspired Robot

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Inspired by the Mexican jumping bean, this study presents a centimeter‐scale, electronics‐free robot that merges principles from both the animal and plant kingdoms. A thermo‐responsive actuator mimicking larval motion, enclosed within a uniquely shaped plant‐seed‐inspired shell, generates jumping, rolling, flipping, sliding, and climbing through ...

Designing Wire Mazes for Replicating Natural Echoes to Study Bat Biosonar Function

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A validated framework combining efficient physical modeling (multiple scattering model) and deep learning is presented to guide wire‐maze design for bat biosonar studies. This approach rapidly generates large datasets to test acoustic distinguishability among wire arrangements.
