Impact of Communication Device Installation Rate on Vehicle Behavior Stability in V2X-Based Freeway Merging Assistance Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper evaluates the effectiveness of merging assistance systems in reducing highway congestion. One of the key causes of congestion on highways is the inability of vehicles to merge smoothly.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

A Stochastic Hybrid Framework for Driver Behavior Modeling Based on Hierarchical Dirichlet Process

open access: yes, 2018
Scalability is one of the major issues for real-world Vehicle-to-Vehicle network realization. To tackle this challenge, a stochastic hybrid modeling framework based on a non-parametric Bayesian inference method, i.e., hierarchical Dirichlet process (HDP),

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Stimulating Cooperation in Self-Organized Vehicular Networks

open access: yes, 2010
A Vehicular Ad-hoc NETwork (VANET) is a special form of Mobile Ad-hoc Network designed to provide communications among nearby vehicles and between vehicles and nearby fixed roadside equipment. Its main goal is to improve safety and comfort for passengers,
