Comparison of Bridge Dynamic Amplifications Due to Articulated 5-Axle Trucks and Large Cranes
Extremely heavy vehicles are becoming more common on European highways due to the increasing demand for transport of heavy goods. These vehicles require permits from the road authorities to travel over a specified route.

Vehicle Routeing with Multiple Use of Vehicles [PDF]
Summary: The vehicle routeing problem with multiple use of vehicles is a variant of the standard vehicle routeing problem in which the same vehicle may be assigned to several routes during a given planning period. A tabu search heuristic is developed for this problem. It is shown to produce high quality solutions on a series of test problems.

This study aims to optimise Vehicle Dynamic Control Systems (VDCS) in offset impact for vehicle collision mitigation. A proposed unique 3-D full-car mathematical model is developed and solved numerically to carry out this analysis. In this model, vehicle

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Modelling the vehicle in vehicle-infrastructure dynamic interaction studies
This paper presents the equations of motion for a general articulated road vehicle, with variable numbers of wheels for the tractor and trailer. The equations are applicable to vehicle-bridge dynamic interaction problems for two and three dimensional ...

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Tyre modelling for high capacity vehicle simulations
Tyre friction properties of 21 different heavy vehicle tyres have been measured on smooth ice and dry asphalt using a dedicated flat-bed machine. The purpose of the measurements was to study characteristics of typical heavy vehicle tyres, and to provide ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
