Computer simulation of a series and parallel hybrid electric vehicle [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Although the internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle is the most popular vehicle type in the world it has serious problems relating to its exhaust emissions and the limitation of petroleum resource.

Vehicle model quality framework for moving base driving simulators, a powertrain model example

open access: yes, 2018
Moving base driving simulators, with an enclosed human driver, are often used to study driver-vehicle interaction or driver behaviour. Reliable results from such a driving simulator study strongly depend on the perceived realism by the driver in the ...

Improving Scalability of Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication with Prediction-Based STDMA

open access: yes2014 IEEE 80th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2014-Fall), 2014
Self-organized TDMA (STDMA) has been proposed as a medium access control (MAC) protocol for Vehicle-to- Vehicle (V2V) communication. Although it avoids the unbounded channel access delay faced by other CSMA-based protocols, the reliability in high traffic density is still unsatisfactory for critical road safety applications.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Countermeasures for Abnormal Arcing and Burning of Pantograph-Catenary System in Urban Rail Transit Vehicle Base

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
[Objective] Abnormal arcing and burning of contact wire are commonly observed in urban rail transit vehicle bases, primarily concentrated in pantograph-corresponding areas at train parking lots.

Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure in Croatia – First-Hand Experiences and Recommendations for Future Development

open access: yesJournal of Energy - Energija, 2023
One of the most serious obstacles to massive deployment of electric vehicles is insufficient and cumbersome charging infrastructure. Both the number of charging points and their power capacity are often insufficient.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Active Protection Technology of Depot Automatic Zones in Urban Rail Transit FAO Vehicle Base

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
[Objective] Setting up underpass or overpass in front or inside the urban rail transit depot for personnel's access to the automatic zone requires large project investment, being prone to affect personnel evacuation and cause safety hazards due to the ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
