Localization in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks
2005 Systems Communications (ICW'05, ICHSN'05, ICMCS'05, SENET'05), 2005Communications between vehicles constitute a Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET). Contrary to MANET in VANET nodes which are vehicles can move with high speed and generally must communicate quickly and reliably. When an accident occurs in a road or highway, alarm messages must be disseminated, instead of ad-hoc routed, to inform all other vehicles.

Security in vehicular ad hoc networks
2013In the last few years, Vehicular ad hoc Networks (VANETs) have attracted a lot of attention and have triggered the development of many new attractive applications. They have become a fundamental component of many intelligent transportation systems and VANETs are being used to improve road safety and enable a wide variety of value-added services ...

In-Network Aggregation for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks
IEEE communications surveys & tutorials, 2014In-network aggregation mechanisms for vehicular ad hoc networks aim at improving communication efficiency by summarizing information that is exchanged between vehicles. Summaries are calculated while data items are generated in and forwarded through the network.
