Using machine learning for handover optimization in vehicular fog computing [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 34th ACM/SIGAPP Symposium on Applied Computing, 2019
Smart mobility management would be an important prerequisite for future fog computing systems. In this research, we propose a learning-based handover optimization for the Internet of Vehicles that would assist the smooth transition of device connections and offloaded tasks between fog nodes.

Reliable and Reusable All‐Solid‐State Contact‐Type Pre‐Lithiation Platform for High‐Performance All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A reusable contact‐type pre‐lithiation platform enables uniform, precisely controllable pre‐lithiation at low stack pressure, suppressing interfacial degradation and thereby markedly improving initial Coulombic efficiency and cycling performance in all‐solid‐state batteries.

A new energy‐aware method for load balance managing in the fog‐based vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET) using a hybrid optimization algorithm

open access: yesIET Communications, 2021
Fog‐based VANETs (Vehicular Ad hoc NETworks) is a new model with vehicular cloud and fog computing benefits. Fog‐based VANETs consist of a series of mobile nodes that are fully dynamic without any central management.

A Task Offloading Scheme in Vehicular Fog and Cloud Computing System [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Vehicular fog and cloud computing (VFCC) system, which provides huge computing power for processing numerous computation-intensive and delay sensitive tasks, is envisioned as an enabler for intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs). Although previous works have studied the optimal offloading scheme in the VFCC system, no existing work has considered the ...

Escaping the Scaling Relationships in Oxygen Reduction Catalysis: Implications for PEM Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Escaping the scaling relationships of the oxygen reduction reaction is vital for hydrogen fuel cells. This outlook examines how interfacial heterogeneity, spanning the subsurface lattice, chemisorption layer, and near‐interface solvation volume, mechanistically decouples intermediate binding energetics.

A Survey of Vehicular Network Systems for Road Traffic Management

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
In this survey, we analyze the proposals of vehicular communication systems in the context of road traffic management. Starting with the definition of communications between vehicles (V2V), vehicles-to-infrastructure (V2I) and vehicles-to-everything (V2X)

From Payload‐First Toward Dual‐Mechanism Antibody–Drug Conjugates

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Conjugation converts potent antibodies into underexposed carriers. This perspective defines the antibody exposure deficit and maps a mechanism‐first design space from payload‐first to antibody‐first ADC architectures, integrating DAR, linker chemistry, and Fc engineering to guide rational design of constructs that balance targeted cytotoxicity with ...
