Malformação aneurismática da veia de Galeno do tipo coroidal num adulto associada a malformação de Dandy-Walker.

open access: yesActa Médica Portuguesa, 2003
Lasjaunias differentiated true vein of Galen aneurysmal malformations (MAVG), which drain to the median prosencephalic vein of Markowski, the embryonic precursor of the vein of Galen, from the aneurysmal dilatations of vein of Galen (VGDA), which reveal ...

A Right Thalamo-Choroidal Arterio-Venous Malformation and Associated Vein of Galen Aneurysm in a Female Adult

open access: yesActa Medica Iranica, 2022
Vein of Galen aneurysm (VGAM) is a rare vascular malformation accounting for less than 1% of all intracranial abnormalities. In this case report, we performed computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations for a 26-year-old ...

Pediatric aneurysms and vein of Galen malformations

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Neurosciences, 2011
Pediatric aneurysms are different from adult aneurysms - they are more rare, are giant and in the posterior circulation more frequently than in adults and may be associated with congenital disorders. Infectious and traumatic aneursyms are also seen more frequently. Vein of Galen malformations are even rarer entities.

Malformação aneurismática da veia de galeno no adulto.

open access: yesActa Médica Portuguesa, 2003
We present an adult male harbouring a vascular malformation, manifested by haemorrhage, which localization, arterial feeders and venous drainage, match the pattern of choroidal type vein of Galen aneurysmal malformations seen in babies, excepting the ...

Anaesthetic management of vein of Galen malformation in a very low birth weight preterm baby for endovascular embolisation

open access: yesJournal of Neuroanaesthesiology and Critical Care, 2016
Extra-cardiac arteriovenous malformations are rare causes of severe cardiac failure in the neonatal period. Aneurysmal malformation of the vein of Galen may lead to a diagnostic confusion because the presenting signs point to a cardiac cause of failure ...
