Patterned Screen‐Printing Process for Substrate‐Free and Scalable Hyaluronic Acid Microneedle Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A substrate‐free microneedle array comprising a hybrid hyaluronic acid ink was fabricated via a scalable screen‐printing process for flexible transdermal drug delivery. Defect‐free mold filling was achieved using a vacuum‐assisted jig and a delayed drying system, and the use of this versatile platform for multi‐drug patterning and ex vivo skin ...

Low-velocity cosmic strings in accelerating universe

open access: yes, 2011
The standard cosmological model supposes that the dominant matter component changes in the course of the evolution of the universe. We study the homogeneous and isotropic universe with non-zero cosmological constant in the epoch when the dominant matter component has a form of a gas of low-velocity cosmic strings.

A Proof‐of‐Concept Assessment of a Novel Wearable Eyelid Muscle Device: A Pre‐Clinical Animal Cadaver Study for Eyelid Closure Restoration

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article introduces a soft wearable eyelid sling device incorporating a hydraulic soft artificial muscle (SAM) for achieving complete closure of an eyelid. The SAM is driven by a cam mechanism that provides a displacement profile closely matched with those of a healthy eyelid.

Effective potential for revolving D-branes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We quantize an open string stretched between D0-branes revolving around each other. The worldsheet theory is analyzed in a rotating coordinate system in which the worldsheet fields obey simple boundary conditions, but instead the worldsheet Lagrangian ...

Miniaturized Magnetic Tip Design for Endoluminal Vine Robot Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A magnetic tip mount is designed for a miniaturized 7 mm soft‐growing vine robot to enable wireless magnetic steering and onboard imaging, while preserving a 3 mm working channel. The internal–external ring magnets design balances magnetic attachment with low eversion pressure. Experiments demonstrate ±90° steering, 34 mm bending radius, and successful

Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard): An Aerial Robotic Swarm for Autonomous Detection and Entrapment of Rogue Multirotors

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard) is introduced as a four‐drone swarm that autonomously detects, tracks, and safely captures rogue drones using a coordinated net system. Computer vision and leader–follower control architecture enable synchronized enclosure, while integrated failsafes enhance system reliability. Validated through closed‐environment
