Leiomyosarcoma of the Inferior Vena Cava [PDF]

Vascular leiomyosarcoma (LMS) are unique. The inferior vena cava (IVC) is the most affected organ (about 38% cases). We report the observation of a 50-year old woman who consulted for right upper quadrant pain. Imaging studies revealed a retroperitoneal mass that mimic a LMS of the IVC. The patient was operated.

ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
