Vendor Managed Inventory of a Supply Chain under Stochastic Demands [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Optimization in Industrial Engineering, 2015
In this research, an integrated inventory problem is formulated for a single-vendor multiple-retailer supply chain that works according to the vendor managed inventory policy.

A Multi-objective Evolutionary Optimization Approach for an Integrated Location-Inventory Distribution Network Problem under Vendor-Managed Inventory Systems [PDF]

open access: yes
[[abstract]]In this paper, we propose an integrated model to incorporate inventory control decisions—such as economic order quantity, safety stock and inventory replenishment decisions—into typical facility location models, which are used to solve the ...

Optimal Grazing Exclusion Duration to Enhance Soil Carbon Sequestration in Degraded Grasslands

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Across China, grazing exclusion reaches the national mean soil organic carbon recovery benchmark sooner in high‐MAP regions (> 500 mm), but recovery is much slower where MAP < 300 mm. Scaling this strategy to 70% of China's degraded grasslands would sequester about 1.52 Pg of soil carbon over 10 years—roughly 17% of annual global fossil‐fuel emissions.

Modeling and solving the multi-period inventory routing problem with constant demand rates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The inventory routing problem (IRP) is one of the challenging optimization problems in supply chain logistics. It combines inventory control and vehicle routing optimization.

The impact of freight transport capacity limitations on supply chain dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We investigate how capacity limitations in the transportation system affect the dynamic behaviour of supply chains. We are interested in the more recently defined, 'backlash' effect.

Scalable Electrochemical Concrete Fabrication and Closed‐Loop Recycling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The electrochemical‐driven recycling strategy establishes a reversible concrete material flow by extracting Ca, Si, Al, and Fe from concrete waste and regenerating functional feedstocks. These reversed products are reassembled into new concrete, which re‐enters service and ultimately returns to waste, enabling a closed‐loop, waste‐origin, and low ...

Inventory and Production Dynamics in a Discrete-Time Vendor-Managed Inventory Supply Chain System

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2018
This paper presents some analytical results on production and order dynamics in the context of a discrete-time VMI supply chain system composed of one retailer and one manufacturer.

The integrated deterministic model for a vendor manage inventory in a two-stage supply chain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In a two-stage supply chain system, vendor managed inventory (VMI) policies is an integrating decisions between a supplier and his retailers. The supplier assumes the responsibility of maintaining inventory at its retailers and ensuring that they will not

Recent Advances in Sustainable Single‐Atom Catalysts from Biomass and Solid Waste: Design, Synthesis and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biomass‐ and solid waste‐derived sustainable single‐atom catalysts (Sus‐SACs) provide a cost‐effective and renewable approach to catalyst design. This review summarizes precursor selection, including AI‐assisted screening, synthesis strategies with emphasis on ultrafast methods, and advanced characterization techniques.

Portfolio allocation under the vendor managed inventory: A Markov decision process

open access: yesJournal of Applied Sciences and Environmental Management, 2017
Markov decision processes have been applied in solving a wide range of optimization problems over the years. This study provides a review of Markov decision processes and investigates its suitability for solutions to portfolio allocation problems under ...
